News Live’s Bokajan correspondent Rubul Dihingia on Monday morning has lost his battle against COVID-19 at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Correspondent Rubul Dihingia was tested positive for COVID-19 on April 23.
He was shifted to the GMCH COVID ICU ward for treatment.
A couple of days ago, he was tested negative. Following which he was shifted to the non-COVID ICU.
However, the News Live correspondent passed away on Monday morning due to post-COVID complications.
Taking to Twitter, state CM Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his grief on the News Live’s correspondent sudden demise.
“CM @himantabiswa expresses his deep condolence on News Live Channel’s Bokajan journalist Rubul Dihingia’s untimely demise.
The Chief Minister wished the journalist’s eternal peace of the departed soul and extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.”

Aged 44, Rubul left behind his wife and two sons.
