Putting an end to all the speculations, Thowra MLA Sushanta Borgohain has resigned from the Congress party on Friday afternoon. He said that the existing political crisis in Assam Pradesh Congress Committee was the reason behind his decision.
Borgohain has submitted his resignation letter to the party President Bhupen Borah. Sushanta Borgohain is likely to resign from the Thowra MLA post on Saturday. The two-time Congress MLA has already confirmed that he will officially join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on August 1.
