The Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the state government will provide 3 Lakh vaccines per day from Monday (June 21). He said that people above 18 years of age will also be provided with vaccine doses.
Addressing the media at Janata Bhawan after a meeting with the deputy commissioners and health officials, the Chief Minister said that the Doses will be given in two shifts as the vaccines will be given from 8 AM to 9 PM. “On Friday 1 lakh 16 thousand people have been inoculated.
Meanwhile, Sarma also said that we won’t have to buy any more vaccine doses as the Center will provide the vaccine doses from Monday onwards, adding he also said, “90 Lakhs People will be inoculated in One Month adding that 50 Lakh People have already been inoculated so far.”
The Health Workers will be given a sum of Rs. 100 per day for their Duty. Besides, that online registration will be held at the vaccination Center itself.
