July 20, in Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district a body of a 50-year-old woman was found naked with hilt mark injuries in a village.
The family members of the woman have claimed that she was raped before murder.
Police official Mahendra Pratap Singh Chauhan said that the victim had taken some goats from grazing in a forest on Monday.
On the basis of a written report, the case was registered at Tindwari police station against unknown persons and the body was sent for postmortem.
After the autopsy report, the police would be in a position to frame additional charges.
