Speaking on the second day of the three-day Assam Assembly Session, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on February 12 made a few important announcements.
The minister at the budget session announced that the government has decided to drop the price of Petrol and Diesel by Rs. 5.
The Finance Minister also announced that the price of Liquor has been dropped by 25 percent. Earlier during the Covid-19 pandemic, the state increased the price of alcohol by 25 percent.
However, the government has announced an increase in fares for air travel.
The revised rate will come into effect from today Midnight.
