Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President J P Nadda appointed Bhabesh Kalita as the new President of BJP Assam Pradesh.
The Rangia MLA Kalita will be the next president of Assam state BJP party.
The order issued by the BJP National General Secretary, Arun Singh states –
“BJP National President Hon’ble Jagat Prakash Nadda has appointed Shri Bhabesh Kalita, MLA as State President of Assam BJP.
The appointment comes into immediate effect.”
Bhabesh Kalita will replace Ranjeet Kumar Dass for the post of state president.
Ranjeet Dass was inducted to the cabinet of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as the minister for Food and Civil supplies. Dass is also the state minister for Panchayat and Rural Development.
