CM Sarbananda Presents Land Ownership to 471 Small Tea Growers

Ahead of the Assam Assembly Election, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday handed over land ownership to 471 small tea growers.

The land distribution was done during the foundation laying ceremony of District Science Centre at Khanikar, Dibrugarh.

The CM further assured to look into the issues raised by small tea growers such as the supply of fertilizers, use of organic fertilizers, and exposure tour for small tea growers.

“CM Shri @sarbanandsonwal laid the foundation stone of District Science Centre at Khanikar, Dibrugarh.
On the occasion, the CM also distributed allotment letters to 471 small tea growers, ensuring land rights in 2774 bighas in the district.” the official Twitter page of CM Assam informed.

Earlier on February 6, Central Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman distributed Rs. 3000 each to 7,46,667 tea garden workers.
