Indian National Congress (INC) General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is likely to visit Assam on February 24.
Earlier Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also visit the poll-bound state on Valentine’s Day. The leader kicked off the party’s campaign ‘Assam Bachao’ in Sivasagar.
Under the campaign ‘Assam Bachao’, Congress party leaders and workers will interact with the people of Assam. The party will also take their opinions about the party manifesto for the upcoming assembly polls, scheduled in April-May this year.
The INC General Secretary is scheduled for a one-day visit to Tezpur and address a public rally.
Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) also plans to hold three other rallies of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in Lower Assam and Barak Valley and Northern Assam in February.
For the assembly polls in Assam, Congress party has formed a grand alliance with Badruddin Ajmal-led All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) and four other parties.
