Congress Nominated Ripun Borah as Rajya Sabha Candidate

After the announcvement of BJP candidates for the vacant seats of rajya Sabha Indian National Congress has announced Ripun Bora as their candidate. Congress also nominated Jebi Mather as the candidate from Kerala for Rajya Sabha Election. The President of Congress Sonia Gandhi has announced these two names for the candidature of Congress.

It is also noted that Ripun Bora is currently working as the MP (Member of Parliament) of rajya Sabha. On the other hand Jebi Mather is the state president of Kerala Pradesh Mahila Congress.

The voting for 13 Rajya Sabha seats will be held across 6 states. Tthey are, Kerala, Assam, Punjab, himachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Tripura. The polling is scheduled to be held on March 31. These include 3 seats from Kerala, 2 from Assam, 1 from Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Tripura each. and 5 are from Punjab.

it is also mentioned that the members of rajya Sabha from Assam will be retired on 2nd April, 2022.
