Minister of State for Transport Chandra Mohan Patowary on Tuesday evening attended the ‘National Road Safety Month 2021’ state-level concluding ceremony.
The State-level concluding ceremony of ‘National Road Safety Month 2021’ was held at Srimanta Madhabdev International Auditorium, Panjabari on February 16.
The theme for this year was – ‘Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha’.
Earlier, road safety awareness was held for a week. This year, the Ministry of Road, Transport, and Highways observed it throughout the month in order to create awareness among the people on road safety.

The Minister also flagged off 15 Interceptor vehicles for accident-prone districts –
Kamrup (Metro), Kamrup, Goalpara, Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Nalbari, Dhemaji, Sonitpur, Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Nagaon, Kokrajhar, Cachar and Dhubri.
Minister Patowary also distributed 11 Laser Hand-held Speed Guns to enforcement inspectors.
