Elections for 13 Rajya Sabha seats that will be vacant in April is held today from 9 A.M. The Rajya Sabha Elections will be held for 13 seats across six states Assam for 2 seats, Himachal Pradesh for 1, Kerala for 3 Nagaland for 1, Tripura for 1 and Punjab for 5 seats. The counting of votes will be on March 31 as well.
The polling started at 9 am. The voting process will continue till 4pm and counting of votes will begin from 5 pm.
The results will be announced at 6 pm.
It is mentioned that the victory of Pavitra Margherita for the candidature of BJP alliance is certain in the Rajya Sabha elections. On the other hand, for the other seat the BJP Junior ally United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL allied with BJP) Rwngwra Narzary and Congress candidate Ripun Bora are in the battle.
