Navjot Singh Sidhu who is famous as Sidhu Paji resigns from the post of President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC). On 16 March the President of PPCC, Sidhu had submitted his letter of resignation to the President of All India Congress Committee Sonia Gandhi.
It is noted that Navjot Singh Sidhu has submitted his resignation letter to the chief Sonia Gandhi on 28 september in 2021. But the high command rejected his resignation. And on 16th march, 2022 Sidhu again submitting his resignation announced it on Twitter.
Sidhu entered his political joining BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) in 2004. In 2017 Sidhu joined Indian National congress. Winning from the Amritsar East Punjab Assembly Election 2017, Sidhu later become the state Minister of Tourism and local Bodies.
One of his notable work under Project Virasat to revive India’s only handicraft on UNESCO’s Intangible Culture heritage is highly influenced.
On 2021 was appointed as the president of Punjab Pradesh congress committee replacing Shri Sunil Jakhar.
It is also mentioned that in the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly Election Sidhu lost to Aam Aadmi Party candidate Jeevan Jyot kaur.
