Hero ISL 2020: Post Match Analysis

Hero ISL 2020 Roy Krishna

The Seventh Edition of the Hero ISL kick-started in 2020 with a bang. During the first match of the season, the two heavyweight squads Kerala Blasters and ATK Mohun Bagan (ATKMB) came head to head which can be considered as a fairly even contest.

Mohun Bagan squad secured a 1-0 victory over the Blasters at the GMC Stadium, Bambolim, Goa. It was a tight game for the most part of the match spiced up with some flashes of brilliance from both sets of players returning after a long break.
Even though Kerala Blasters dominated 68% of the possession they had ‘zero’ shots on target which seems to be a bit of a concern even though the session is still in its early days.

Post-match, the ATKMB however, is a much happier side with all three points in the bag. KBFC would feel hard, done by with the kind of chances they got and failed to convert.
Roy Krishna was the hero for ATK Mohun Bagan as he broke the deadlock and lived up to his reputation of being an exceptional scorer.
It miracle happened in the 67th minute of the game when his left-footed strike hit the nets for the first time of the 2020 ISL season. Fans of Mohun Bagan would be expecting many more from him in the future.
The Hero ISL Season 2020 started with a bang and it can be taken into account that football fanatics in India can expect much more of the same in the long season ahead.
