The Indian Cricket team on Friday announced their playing XI for the Boxing Day Test against Australia, which will start from December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the visitors named Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja in the squad while handing debuts to Shubman Grill and Mohammed Siraj.
Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami will not be available for the rest of the series as Jadeja and Siraj respectively replaced the duo in the playing XI while Grill replaced struggling Prithvi Shaw and Rent came in for Wriddhiman Saha.
India was bowled out for 36 runs in the 2nd innings of Adelaide test where the host defeated India by eight wickets to take 1-0 bed in the series. Ajinkya Rahane will lead the team in Virat Kohli’s absence.
