IPL chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed that the tournament will start on Sep 19 and end on Nov 8. The tournament is scheduled to be held in UAE.

Earlier this week, the BCCI had decided to organize the cash-rich tournament in the UAE. This comes after long deliberations of hosting it in India had failed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The official announcement might come after the IPL Governing Council meeting which will finalize all the details and schedules.
“The England-Australia series ends on September 15. So, we should have them flying in directly to Dubai. We will discuss the final matters in the governing council meeting next week,” Patel added
Apart from the IPL teams, logistics and operations teams from the BCCI will also be heading to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to check the preparations.
ICC’s decision to postpone the T20 World Cup opened the door for the BCCI to host the IPL.
