ISL 2020: Kerala Blasters Vs Northeast United FC Post Match Analysis

ISL

After an exceptional performance in the first game, NEUFC was against a tough Kerala Blasters side. NEUFC started the game poorly where they conceded a goal within the first 5 minutes of the game as S. Cidoncha of Kerala Blasters scored a well-guided header into the far post.

It was a fairly even contest after that as both the teams were trying to create opportunities. However, when it was almost half time NEUFC conceded a penalty. G.Hooper scored from the spot straight down the middle. NEUFC were heading into the break with two goals down and needed to show more passion and it was clearly seen as K. Appiah pull back a goal from close range at the 51st minute.

When it seemed as Kerala Blasters were taking all 3 points a sensational finish from I.Sylla made sure NEUFC took at least a point from the game in the 90th minute and with that the game ended all square (2-2).

This game saw a sensational comeback from NEUFC. The manager of NEUFC, Gerard Nus was very impressed with the desire and passion the players showed in the 2nd half. Northeast United FC are currently on top of the points table with 4 points from two games.
