Olympics, the World’s foremost Sports Event, will be held in Tokyo, Japan this year from July 3 to August 8.
Due to Covid 19 pandemic, the premier sports event was postponed for almost a year.
However, ‘Dhing Express’ Hima Das is still awaiting qualification for Tokyo Olympics.
The sprinter now has the last chance to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.
She will qualify for this year’s Olympics if she can excel in the Interstate Athletics competition. The competition will be held in Patiala, Punjab from June 24 to June 28.
To qualify into to the Tokyo Olympics, the ‘Dhing Express’ will have to exhibit her best performance. Hima Das will have to complete the Women’s individual 200 metres race in 22.08 seconds and the Women’s 4X100 metres relay race in 44.45 seconds.
It needs to be mentioned that boxer Lovlina Borgohain has already qualified for the Olympics.
