Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his public meeting in Jagiroad slammed Congress-led ‘Grand Alliance’.

During his speech at Jagiroad for the second phase of Assam Assembly Elections, the Union Minister stated:
“Congress party always termed AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal as a part of Assam’s identity. Our NDA government will never allow this to happen.
We will never allow Congress and Ajmal to diminish the stature of Bir Lachit Borphukon and Srimanta Sankardev. They are the real identity of Assam.
Badruddin Ajmal and Congress can never keep Assam safe from illegal infiltration.”

The minister further stated that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has always worked to enhance Assam’s pride.
“It was Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government which gave Bharat Ratna to Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi. Now, it is PM Narendra Modi’s government, who honored Sudhakantha Bhupen Hazarika,” the minister added.

The Union Minister further slammed the Congress party’s ‘five guarantees’. Amit Shah said that Congress’s manifesto is only for election purposes but BJP’s manifesto is for real execution.
