In a captivating interaction via a webinar, Sh. B Narayanan, Director General of the North-East Zone, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, engaged in a thought-provoking conversation with Sh. Ashish Kundra, delving into the transformative journey of the North-East region as explored in his latest book, ‘A Resurgent North-East: Narratives of Change’. As an administrator, Sh. Kundra has served earlier in Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh.
In the discussion, Kundra highlighted that a significant generational opportunity was lost due to violence in the region. However, he emphasized that the present situation has improved significantly, with the new generation of the North-East moving forward and leaving behind the scars of the past. They are now actively engaged in rebuilding the region through various economic ventures.
During the discussion, he noted the determination of the youth to break geographical barriers and build a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. In response, Sh. B Narayanan praised their enthusiasm and highlighted the government’s support in encouraging enterprise and fostering economic growth in the region.
