Inter Bttalion Sports Shooting Championship for selected Cadets of Seven States of North East is being conducted at firing range of 4 Assam Police Bttalion Kahilipara, Guwahati by 30 Assam Bttalion NCC under the agis of NCC Directorate NER. The competition is to select best firers from entire NER to participate in pestigious Inter Directorate Sports Shooting Championship scheduled from 02 Jul at Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu. A total of 311 selected Cadtes are participating in the event from entire NER and team of selected 22 cadets will be participating in the Inter Directorate Championship at Tiruchirappalli.
The cadets are staying at CATC cum IBSSC camp at Sarusajai Sports Stadium Guwahati. Cadets have come from far-off places as Tawang in AP, Lungleng in Mizorame & Mokokchung in Nagaland. The Cadtes have no less enthusiasm despite struggling with comparatively harsh weather due to encroaching heat and are all set to represent their proud state in national championship. The competition has started from 17 Apr 2023 & will culminate on 25th Apr 2024. A 3 days practice will be given to the selected teams at indoor shooting range at kahilipara to give them exposure of world class facility & prepare for upcoming competition, said Col S Anup Singh , Commanding Officer, 30 Assam Bttalion NCC.
