National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai & Citi India have announced the return of its ‘Citi NCPA Scholarship for Young Musicians’ and is open for applications from students undergoing advance training in the field of Hindustani music. This scholarship is primarily meant to encourage young and aspiring music learners (age group: 18-35), (vocal – dhrupad & khayal, instrumental music – melody). Scholarships will be awarded to nine shortlisted candidates to enable them to pursue full-time advance training in Hindustani music.
Scholarship Details:
• Application for – Advanced training in the field of Hindustani Music (vocal – khayal / dhrupad, and melody instruments – flute, harmonium, violin, sitar, sarod, etc.)
• Scholarship value – Rs. 10,000/- per month for two years (April 2024 to March 2026)

• The application must contain all details including candidate’s name, date of birth, address, contact number/alternate contact number, email ID, professional qualification, details of musical training including teachers/gurus, number of years of total training, details of achievements/prizes/scholarships and performances, and other noteworthy details.

Eligibility Criteria & General Instructions:
• The candidate’s bio-data will be considered as his/her application. There is NO separate form to be filled.
• Candidates who are beneficiaries of other scholarship/grant in the field of music during April 2024 to March 2026, are not eligible
• Candidates who are full-time / part-time working professionals need not apply. Professional musicians including those with ‘A’ grade from All India Radio are not eligible
• Applications received through courier will not be accepted. Only the applications received on email id mentioned above will be considered
• Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply
• Applications received after 10th January, 2024 will not be entertained
• The decision of the NCPA Selection Committee will be final
