Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Health Minister, launched the Intensified Mission Indradhanush 4.0 on Monday.
The Health Minister said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants the vaccination coverage to be 90 percent. States and the Centre have to put collective efforts into it.”
Mandaviya on the occasion informed that a total of 170 crore Covid19 vaccine doses have been administered throughout the country to date.
He said that the Prime Minister visioned the Indradhanush for a universal vaccination that is accessible and received justifiably by all.
He further informed that the vaccines protect children and earlier vaccination was 43 percent which has now reached 76 percent. But the PM wants the vaccination to be at 90 percent.
He urged the people of the nation to vaccinate the newborns to protect them from polio and other diseases and secure their future.
“One drop of polio can save a life“- he added.
