Guwahati, 9 June – United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) has been filed an FIR seeking a probe into the job scam in Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). UPPL has demanded immediate arrest of all the accused involved in the scam.
The case was filed at Kokrajhar police station against former BTC chief and BPF president Hagrama Mohilary, all former executive members (EMs) of BTC, all secretaries of BTC, all heads of the departments of BTC for illegal appointment in government services from 2005 to 2020 till date.
The case (KJR PS Case No. 292/2020) has been registered under sections 120B / 406/ 409/ 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The case has also been registered against the former executive member of BTC transport department Jagadish Sarkar, ACS officer Anil Ch. Deori, secretary, joint secretary, director, CHD of all the 40 departments of BTC for illegal appointments on both fixed pay and regular pay basis from the 2005 to 2020 till date.
UPPL central working committee Member and spokesperson Rajkumar Prithviraj Narayan Dev Mech and witnessed by Kamal Azad, Central IT sSecretary of UPPL and 2 other members of UPPL has lodged the FIR.
In Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC),Rajkumar Prithviraj Narayan Dev Mech and Kamal Azad have demanded immediate arrest of all the accused who were involved in the entire scam.
Kokrajhar additional superintendent of police Mukut Rabha has been appointed as the investigation officer to probe into
the job scam as per the direction of IGP (BTAD).
Mech said to media persons, “A total of 8 candidates were illegally appointed in the transport department in the post of assistant enforcement inspector without any official recommendation.”
he alleged that“There was no approval from the competent Central Selection Board (CSB) of the BTC and without any circular, interviews or exams,”.
He also mentioned, “The joint commissioner of BTC transport, Anil Chandra Deori, has illegally directed the appointment of the 8 candidates in the post of assistant enforcement inspector under the direction of the secretary to transport department and the then executive member in-charge of transport department Jagadish Sarkar vide order No JCT/BTC/36/2020/1191 (memo No JCT/BTC/36/2020/1192-A) issued on March 5, 2020.”
“Similarly, 21 enforcement checkers were illegally appointed in the same transport department under BTC vide memo No-JCT/BTC/36/2020/1190-A, issued on March 5, 2020 without conducting any interview or publishing any circular,” Mech alleged.
UPPL spokesperson Mech also asserted that on both fixed pay and regular pay basis, several number of candidates were illegally appointed without conducting any interview.
Mech alleged “Such anomalies have happened since 2005,”.
